The deprivation of liberty of one more representative of the judicial function in Serbia, due to corruption, is proof of a clear commitment of the state not to show tolerance for any form of abuse of power.
Judges and prosecutors should be an epitome of integrity and justice. The role of the President of a court is one of the highest in the judiciary. However, when such cases occur, this image not only undermines the reputation of an institution but of the entire judicial system.
Equal sanctioning of everyone regardless of their function, proven to have succumbed to personal interests by having abused the law and the citizens’ trust, is and will be the basic principle of justice in Serbia.
